Join your A/U Ranches family for a Christmas to remember
You are warmly invited to a uniquely traditional Christmas celebration at the A/U Ranches. Celebrate with family or unite with friends – we’ll take care of everything, allowing you time to cherish the spirit of the holiday in a loving, inclusive atmosphere. Christmas in the Rockies doesn’t get any better than this!
Christmas Camp activities
During the week, you’ll choose from a variety of winter activities, including downhill and cross-country skiing, ice skating, broom hockey, horseback riding, sledding, and snowshoeing. We offer daily excursions to Colorado’s favorite ski areas, and there’s also plenty of time to relax in the lodge with friends, sit and read, make a Christmas craft, and savor a warm fire with a cup of hot chocolate. And of course Christmas in the mountains wouldn’t be complete without a search for the perfect Christmas tree and cookie decorating. Kids ages 0-9 can also join Kids’ Camp, where they’ll enjoy age-appropriate winter adventures when their older family members are participating in more advanced activities.
In the evenings, guests come together for our annual gingerbread house competition, caroling, a testimony meeting, singing hymns, and other joyful and festive activities.

Details about serving as a Christmas Camp volunteer
Our Christmas Camp volunteer spots are close to filled, with some applications in process.
Please contact K.C. Morris, Ranch Co-director, at [email protected] before applying to check whether additional volunteers are still needed for the areas you are interested in supporting.
Bless camp as a Christmas Camp volunteer
We’d love for you to help us staff Christmas Camp this winter as a volunteer. In this unique role, you’ll be part of bringing out the true spirit of Christmas through joyful service to camp and Christmas Camp guests.
Volunteers arrive at camp on December 17 and help to prepare and decorate our facilities and cabins for the program. Together, we’ll shovel snow, prepare sled runs and a glassy ice skating rink, make beds, and transform the lodge into a mountain Christmas getaway. Then, when guests arrive, volunteers serve in a variety of ways - leading program activities like cross country skiing and snowshoeing, inspiring creativity during arts and crafts, shepherding the little ones during Kids’ Camp, clearing dishes, and keeping the lodge tidy and welcoming, among other tasks.
Each volunteer serves for half of the program time and gets to participate as a guest (on us!) the other half, with everyone supporting dinners and evening programs. After guests depart on December 27, volunteers help close down camp and leave the next day.

Financial aid is available through The Campership Fund (TCF), an organization that supports individuals attending any Christian Science camp. To apply for funds, fill out TCF’s campership application. They can meet up to 75% of tuition costs (including program and stayover fees). If TCF awards less than what you request, the additional need is passed along to us – no need to fill out a separate A/U Ranches campership application.
